Luscious bites for happiness

“Soul food” in this context represents the culinary essence of Asian heritage, where each dish is a symphony of flavors steeped in centuries of tradition and cultural richness. It’s a celebration of familial bonds and ancestral wisdom, where ingredients like fragrant spices, tender meats, and vibrant vegetables dance together on the palate, weaving a tapestry of taste that nourishes both body and spirit.

About Us

Based in the iconic Barossa Valley in South Australia, Barossa Chefins is the passion project of two friends who wanted to bring the most memorable foods from their childhood to the plates of the people in the region. Here, Taiwanese and Malaysian street foods are celebrated and sometimes even paired with contemporary or Western cuisine.

We strive to make meals that are balanced and healthy and most importantly MSG (monosodium glutamate) free. Instead, we use aromatic herbs and spices that is intrinsic our food.

Although we love to cook, it has been quite a feat to get here as we are both designers who have no experience in setting up a restaurant and are therefore so grateful to have each other to lean on and lift up in what will be a continuous journey of learning and growing. We have so much fun cooking together and we hope you enjoy our food as much as we have enjoyed bringing these dishes to you.
